Mahiyangana

The city of Mahiyangana is the home of the Veddhas, the world’s primitive tribes. Veddhas are the descendants of the Yaksa and Naga tribes that inhabited Sri Lanka thousands of years ago. The Veddhas are also known as “Vannilaetto” which means ‘those of the forest’.
