Abbas Esufally
Group Director of Hemas Holding Ltd

Abbas Esufally is a Group Director of Hemas Holding Ltd., over looking the Hemas Leisure sector and Chairman of Serendib Leisure Management. With over 29 years experience in the tourism industry, Abbas has played a pivotal role in diversifying the Hemas Leisure interest. He has also taken an active part in the development of the tourism industry working in conjunction with the Sri Lankan Government. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Abbas is also an all Island Justice of Peace, Member of the Hotel Catering International Management Association, Past President of the Association of the Travel Agents, Member of the Tourism Committee, Member of the Tourism Think Tank and Member of the Tourism Policy Committee facilitated by USAID. He is also the Honorary Consul General of Bhutan in Sri Lanka.

Harith Perera
Managing Director

Harith started his career at Hemas in Brand Management for FMCG sector in 1997. He moved to sales subsequently and was appointed as the Sales Director in April 2003. He played an important role in the success of the FMCG sector over the last few years. Harith joined DTSL in February 2006. He is a member of The Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK. Harith has a MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has participated in many training programmes in Philippines, Australia, Dubai & India. He is also in the Alumina association of 02 prestigious Business Schools in India namely The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahemdebad & Indian Schools of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

Prasanna Rajapakse
General Manager Operations

Prasanna joined DTSL as a Trainee Accounts Clerk in 1987 and since then has had a remarkable career within the company. He gained a wealth of experience in the destination management by holding the positions from accounts clerk, Tour assistant, Tour executive, Senior Tour Executive, Assistant manager and Manager. In 2006 Prasanna was promoted to Head of B2B and was held responsible for all B2B operations. 2011 saw Prasanna being promoted to General Manager Operations

Petra ismail
General Manager Sales & Business Development

Petra joined in July 2007 and brings a wealth of knowledge counting over 20 years in the hospitality industry. A native of Germany, She has been living in Sri Lanka for the past 12 years. She is a graduate of Maria Ward High School in Munich and started her career as Hotel Management Trainee. She gained vast experience and knowledge with multinational companies in Hotel Management, Destination Management and Tour Operating. Her industry experience and responsibilities have spanned around areas such as Contracting, Product Development, Operations, Sales & Marketing and liaising with overseas principles and the local industry. She has participated in many training programmes and is well recognized in the tourism sector.

Chamara Kottehewa
Head of Finance

Chamara is an Associate Chartered Accountant, he joined DTSL in 2010, after successfully holding fort as Finance manager at Hemas Cooperate. A post pupil of Royal College Colombo, he has been an actively participating in Regatta during his University days.

Major Kapila N de Silva
Manager Human Resources

Major Kapila N de Silva is responsible for all aspects of HR at DTSL which includes recruitments, familiarization programmes and HR administration, initiate training plan, develop counseling services & other skills to develop or motivate staff. He is also responsible that the quality and service standards within the company provided. Major Kapila who has had his primary education at Nalanda College, Colombo is a dynamic result oriented Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army with over 20 years of service and experience in varied capacities and a dedicated individual who has built up a reputation for unwavering accuracy and credibility proven to deliver high quality work.

Ranga Wijesinghe
Head of FIT Asia

Ranga holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM - UK). Started his carrier in the Production & Manufacturing field - joined DTSL in 2006 and possesses close to 12 years sales and marketing experience in Travel and Tourism industry

Laahiru Jayamanne
Head of Middle East

Laahiru brings over 13 years of experience in the hospitality Industry being actively involved in BENELUX , Indian and Middle Eastern Markets. He holds a Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Canterbury University, UK. Laahiru is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and holds a Diploma in Management from the Open University of Sri Lanka. Always smiling and soft spoken, "LJ" as called by many, is very popular with his agents and colleagues.

Thiru Thillainathan
Head of FIT India

Thiru is the Winner of the "Hemas CEO's Awards 2010". With a service record of more than 25 years at Hemas is no doubt a loyal employee. She had a remarkable career at DTSL and presently heads the FIT India team.

Shiraj Juheer
Head of FIT Operations

Shiraj joined as a trainee in 1995, since then gained vast experience in operation activities by being exposed to many different areas. He had represented our country in India for 'International Rotary Youth Leadership Awards' while at college. Shiraj is an Associate member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, UK and also holds a Diploma in Sales Management. In his capacity as the Head of FIT operations his main objective is to ensure every aspect of tour arrangements goes smoothly as planned and agreed. He is supported by a highly efficient operations team who would not hesitate to go that 'extra mile' to create a perfect holiday experience for our guests.

Dilip De Alwis
Head of Travel Centers & Corporate Sales

Dilip started his career in aviation at Air Lanka as a Traffic Officer at the Colombo International Airport. During his tenure with Air Lanka and then SriLankan Airlines he has held positions of Station Officer Abu Dhabi International Airport, Duty Manager Colombo Airport, Airport Manager Singapore International Airport, Sales Manager Bahrain, Member Services Manager Skywards, Country Manager Pakistan. Dilip was also attached to International Air Transport Association for approx three years as Secretary Agency Investigational Panel for Sri Lanka & Maldives - responsible for the appointments and conduct of IATA accredited Travel Agents.

Surangie Dunuwille
Manager Procurement

Surangie joined DTSL in April 2010 a new addition to our constantly growing work force. After completing Hotel school (Front Office) she started her career working for Hotel Topaz,Hotel Suisse & Queens hotel and gained experience in hotels Reservations and Front office operations. She has also gained a vast knowledge & experience in the hospitality industry during the past 15 years.She headed the reservations team at Connaisance Group ( Now Amaya Group ), at Taj Group she handled the travel trade & at Confifi Group handling the corporate sector she was able build a repeated client base which was the sector that brought in most of the companies proFITs at a time which tourism in the country was faded.

Rohanlal Subasinghe
Manager Operations (Europe)

Rohan re-joined Diethelm Travel team in November 2007 after a successful two-year stint with Aitken Spence Travels. He started his travel & tourism career at DTSL (Hemtours) in 1999 & counts more than 12 years experience in the trade. He holds Diplomas in Management, Travel & Tourism and Human Resource Management. Rohan is an old boy of Kingswood College, Kandy; where he was a talented sportsman. He is a keen rugby fan and enjoys weekly gym sessions. He loves to escape into Sri Lanka's rural areas which he believes releases his stress and helps find balance in life. He is very much interested in nature & adventure activities. Rohan is always willing to try new and impossible things not only in adventure sports and other activities, but also in his life.

Zam Huzair
Manager FIT Middle East

A former First Choice Resort representative, Zam now handles the middle east market. A veteran in the trade counts more than 15 years in the industry.

Angelo Ramanathan
Manager - FIT Far East

Angelo has almost 15 years exposure to the Travel and Tourism field. A master of many talents and known fondly as the "walking encyclopedia" by his colleagues. He successfully completed the Management Development Program at the Hemas Academy and currently on his way to complete CIM (UK)
