   Abbas Esufally
  Abbas Esufally is a Group Director of Hemas Holding Ltd., over looking the Hemas Leisure sector and Chairman of Serendib Leisure Management.
With over 29 years experience in the tourism industry, Abbas has played a pivotal role in diversifying the Hemas Leisure interest. He has also taken an active part in the development of the tourism industry working in conjunction with the Sri Lankan Government.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Abbas is also an all Island Justice of Peace, Member of the Hotel Catering International Management Association, Past President of the Association of the Travel Agents, Member of the Tourism Committee, Member of the Tourism Think Tank and Member of the Tourism Policy Committee facilitated by USAID.
He is also the Honorary Consul General of Bhutan in Sri Lanka.
   
     
 
   Harith Perera
  Managing Director
  Harith started his career in Branding at Hemas Holdings and moved onto Sales where he was instrumental in improving productivity and results of the sales team. He was appointed as a Director in April 2003, and has played an important role in the success of the FMCG sector over the last few years.
Harith had his primary education at St Joseph's College, Colombo. He is a member of The Charted Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK and has participated in many training programmes in Philippines, Australia, Dubai & India.
He is also in the Alumina association of 02 prestigious Business Schools in India namely Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahemdebad & Indian Schools of Business (ISB) Hyderabad. Harith was a guest lecturer at Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) & was also an Executive Committee member of SLIM for 04 years.
   
     
 
   Dirk Grigson
  Director/General Manager
  Dirk is a seasoned and a long standing member of the Hemas Group. He counts more than 30 years in the Travel Industry. Dirk joined the Hemas Leisure sector as Manager Operations in the 1980's and overlooks all operational aspects of Hemtours.
He went on to become Director Operations in 1996 and Director General Manager in 1998. He has been directly involved in all In-bound tour and travel business activities and has been responsible for Marketing, Sales, Administration and Human Resources.
Dirk has attained educational achievements from the University of California, Indian Institute of Management and the National University of Singapore. He is an executive member of the Sri Lanka Association of Travel and Tourism and President of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators. Dirk is also board member of the Convention Bureau and member of the steering committee of the Tourism Act.
   
     
 
   Petra Ismail
  Head of Business Development
  Petra joined in July 2007 and brings a wealth of knowledge counting over 20 years in the hospitality industry. A native of Germany, She has been living in Sri Lanka for the past 12 years. She is a graduate of Maria Ward High School in Munich and started her career as Hotel Management Trainee.
She gained vast experience and knowledge with multinational companies in Hotel Management, Destination Management and Tour Operating. Her industry experience and responsibilities have spanned around areas such as Contracting, Product Development, Operations, Sales & Marketing and liaising with overseas principles and the local industry. She has participated in many training programmes and is well recognized in the tourism sector.
   
     
 
   Benno Gnanapragasam
  Senior Manager Travel Centers & Transport
  Benno holds a diploma in Hotel Management and an external degree in Human Psychology. He has almost 25 years experience in the hotel industry in Sri Lanka, and gain further work experience in Europe. He is specialist in operations, and has won a gold medal for formulating and developing the front office operational manual for Taj Group Luxury Hotels. He joined Hemtours in 2002 and won the Hemas CEO’s award in the Leisure sector in 2006.
   
     
 
   Prasanna Rajapakse
  Senior Manager B2B operations
  Prasanna joined Hemtours as a Trainee Accounts Clerk in 1987 and since then has had a remarkable career within the company. He gained a wealth of experience in the destination management by holding the following positions: accounts clerc, tour assistant, tour executive, senior tour executive, assistant manager and manager. In 2006 Prasanna was promoted to Senior Manager and is responsible for all B2B operations at Hemtours.
   
     
 
   Susantha Wimalendra
  Manager FIT (India, Middle East)
  Susantha started his career in accounts and in pursuance of his carrier in this line, has completed Licentiate Level of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. In 1997 Susantha joined Hemtours as an account executive, in 1998 switched his carrier field from accounts to sales and operations and he is currently Manager for the India- South and Middle East Markets.
During the course of his career at Hemtours, he has participated in many workshops and training programs in sales and marketing as well as the tourism industry.
   
     
 
   Ranga Wijesinghe
  Manager FIT (India, Eastern Europe)
  Ranga holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM - UK). Started his carrier in the Production & Manufacturing field - joined Hemtours in 2006 and possesses close to 12 years sales and marketing experience in Travel and Tourism industry.
   
     
 
   Natalie de Jong
  Manager Conventions & Corporate Sales
  Natalie joined Hemtours in June 2007. She counts over 8 years experience in conventions and event management and has successfully managed several local and international exhibitions, conventions, seminars and special events.
Natalie, had her primary education at Holy Family Convent, Colombo 4 and her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences and a Diploma in Management from the University of Leicester.
   
     
 
   Major Kapila N De Silva RSP - Dip in HRM (UK)
  Manager HR and Quality Assurance
  Major Kapila N de Silva is responsible for all aspects of HR at Hemtours which includes recruitments, familiarization programmes and HR administration, initiate training plan, develop counseling services & other skills to develop or motivate staff. He is also responsible that the quality and service standards within the company provided.
Major Kapila who has had his primary education at Nalanda College, Colombo is a dynamic result oriented Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army with over 20 years of service and experience in varied capacities and a dedicated individual who has built up a reputation for unwavering accuracy and credibility proven to deliver high quality work.
   
     
 
   Shiraj Juheer
  Manager FIT Operation
  Shiraj joined Hemtours as a trainee way back in 1995. He gained vast experience in DMC operations by being exposed to many different areas such as Travel center operations, Charters and handling FIT operations. He had represented the country while at college for ‘International Rotary Youth Leadership Awards’ programme in India. An Associate member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (UK) he holds a Diploma in Sales Management and currently reading for an Associate of science degree, hoping to specialize in Internet Technology with E-commerce administration.
   
     
 
   Wyomi Abhayaratne
  Assistant Manager E Commerce
  Wyomi is a Graduate of Fellows High School, Canada and holds a Diploma in Economics. She was awarded a Certificate of Merit for being an Honours Student for two consecutive years and was selected to represent Canada at the Students Common Wealth Conference 1993.
She was educated in Australia, Germany and Canada and was the winner of Dr. K. Seigmund German Language Award, Canada in 1993. After completing her higher education in Canada in the year 1993 she joined Hemtours and counts for nearly 15 years of Travel and Tourism experience. Wyomi is also in the Alumina Associations of the Indian Schools of Business (ISB) – Hyderabad and holds qualification and experience in Marketing and Information Technology.
   
     
 
   Prince Collom
  Assist. Manager (Fareast / Australia)
  Prince joined Hemtours as a Trainee Accounts Assistant in 1990 and since then has had a remarkable career within the company. He gained a wealth of experience in the destination management by holding the following positions: Accounts Assistant, Tour Assistant, Tour Executive, Senior Tour Executive and promoted in 2005 as Assistant Manager responsible for all aspects of the Fareast and Australasia markets. Prince has also work experience in handling FIT and as well as charter operations
He has completed a certified course in Travel and Tourism conducted by Cambridge University.
